This bundle includes: - Me 262 A-1/U4 Squad - F-80A Squad The Me 262 A-1/U4 is a specialized modification of the famous German Me 262 jet fighter, designed to counter Allied bombers during World War II. The aircraft is equipped with a powerful 50mm Mk 214a cannon with a 32 round ammunition capacity, intended for engaging targets at long range. The Me 262 A-1/U4 entered history as one of the earliest attempts to create a dedicated jet interceptor, showcasing both the potential and limitations of early jet technology. The F-80A-5 Shooting Star is the first mass-produced jet fighter from the United States, developed by Lockheed and entering service in 1945. Its armament consists of six M2 Browning machine guns mounted in the nose with a total ammunition load of 1,800 rounds, as well as two 1,000-pound AN-M65A1 bombs. Although the F-80A-5 did not see active combat in World War II, it became a significant milestone in the development of jet aviation. The aircraft was used for pilot training and as a platform for testing new technologies.
